1. What is Integrated Circuit and Information Technology Pvt. Ltd.?

Integrated Circuit and Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2008 organization ICIT was incepted in the year 2000 and has an MoU with Pune University's Department of Electronics. Its objective is to develop high quality and latest infrastructure facilities to conduct value added courses of Pune University in Embedded, VLSI and Advanced Computing. It has also maintained separate Human Resources and Placement Cell. Efforts are made to provide excellent educational and academic opportunities to the students which include access to experienced faculty from Industry and live projects. So far ICIT has trained more than 3000 students. Successful students get a certificate from the Pune University. ICIT also provides assistance to students through their placement cell in renowned companies like - Hella India, Emerson, SASKEN, Zensar Technologies, Integra Microsystems. Bangalore, KPIT, Cummins Information Technologies, Patni Computers Services, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Magnasteyr India Ltd., CMS Mumbai, S. T. Microelectronics New Delhi, Conexant, Honeywell (Bangalore), E-Infochips Ltd., Wavelet Group., L & T Infotech (Bangalore), Renu Electronics, Sasken, Uniquify Inc., Emerson Design Engineering Center, Mahindra Electronic Design & Development Company, Cypress Semiconductors, Spectross Digital Systems, TATA ELXSI. These companies offer packages between 2.4 and 3.25 lakhs to deserving students with good performance. In the years 2007 & 2008 placement was less due to recession.


2. Lodging / Boarding facility at ICIT.

ICIT has a limited quota (12 beds) in the Girls hostel of Pune University. The University charges Rs. 600 per month per head for the Girls Hostel. ICIT helps male students to get accommodation in surrounding areas outside Pune University campus and the rent is Rs. 1200 onwards.


3. What is the admission process for ICIT courses?

Admissions are given only through a Common Entrance Test. CET is conducted in January, June and August every year. 50% seats are reserved as per the Government of Maharashtra rules.

4. ICIT course timings

Lectures are conducted for 2 hours per day (Monday to Saturday) and practical sessions are conducted for 4-6 hours per day so that students get extensive hands-on training. Industrial projects are allotted to students.


5. Reservation quotas for admissions only, fee concession

50% of the seats are reserved for SC, ST, DT, NT, OBC while 3% are reserved for physically handicapped students. The students from other states are not entitled to claim benefits of reservation as per Government of Maharashtra rules.
The above rules are followed for giving admissions and there is no concession in fees for students applying under the reservation quotas.


6. ICIT course fee refund policy

Course fee has to be paid lumpsum as per the dates decided by ICIT before a batch commences. Refund is applicable on this amount as per the rules stated below:
20% of the total fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellation of admission within 20 days after course commencement - 30% of the balance amount is refunded.
Cancellation of admission after 20 days of batch commencement - no refund.


7. Value of ICIT course internationally

ICIT courses are conducted with academic support from the Pune University and hence have good recognition world-wide. In fact ICIT has been approached by many international Universities for student exchange programmes. ICIT has one such MoU with ISEP, France and will have collaboration with more Universities for the benefit of Indian students.


8. Advanced Computing - Launch and Placement

Certificate Course in Advanced Computing will be launched in August 2011. This course aims at preparing students to work as Software Developers, Technical support staff, etc. in organizations of the following kind:

  • Web development (Java and .net), like BMC Technologies
  • Bug fixing / software testing (C and C++), like Patni Computer Systems, Wipro, Infosys, etc.
  • OEM software developers (Linux, C & C++), like Parametric Technologies, IBM, etc.
  • Maintenance of data centers (Oracle), like Suzlon, Idea, Airtel, etc.
  • Banks (Oracle, Software Engg. And Project Mgt.), like ABN-AMRO, Barclays, ICICI, etc.
  • Development and implementation of projects for clients (All or any of the subjects of the curriculum), like Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, PCS, etc.
  • Companies which maintain huge databases (Oracle, Java. .net), like Maersk Shipping Co., etc.
  • Software Consultancies (All or any of the programming subjects in the curriculum), like TCS, etc.


9. Purpose of preparatory course (Pre CCAC, Pre Embedded, Pre VLSI).

Purpose of these courses is to prepare students for the value added Post Graduate Courses of ICIT. They help the students to revise the fundamentals learnt in their degree courses. However these courses also prepare students for placement in the core field.


10. Other details of the preparatory courses.

The preparatory courses are autonomous and are conducted in our Tathawade centre. Course fee is Rs. 5,000 and duration is 150 hours (4 hours / day). The entire fee of Rs. 5,000 is refunded if a student takes admission and successfully completes any of our Post Graduate Certificate course.


11. What is ISEP?

The Institut Superieur d' Electronique de'Paris (ISEP) is an institution established in 1955, is a branch of the Catholic University of Paris and is also affiliated to the French Government. The institute has over 50 years standing and is ranked number 3 in Europe. It offers Engineering degree as well as MS programme (Master of Science) in Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology and Networking.


12. What is the MS programme?

Course Structure
The entire course is taught in English
24 months (4 semesters) to be completed entirely in Paris
First semester commences in October every year.
Admission process starts in July every year
Course fee is 12,600 euro.
Accommodation and food expenses are between 600 and 700 euro per month (assistance provided by ISEP to get good and affordable accommodation).
Visa expense is around 75 euro
Airline ticket costs between 600 and 700 euro.
Internship starts from semester 3 (duration = 5 to 12 months, stipend between 600 to 1500 euro per month)
Campus interviews conducted by ISEP at the end of the internship
Salary starts with 2,500 euro per month and contracts of 2 years at a time.

Students who complete ICIT course get direct admission to second semester
Second semester starts in February every year.
Admission process starts 3 months before i.e. November of previous year
All other benefits and expenses are same as above.


13. What is the fee structure of MS programme?

Fee is 12,600 euro for the entire course (6,300 euro to be paid to confirm admission and balance amount to be paid upon reaching Paris)

Fee for 3 semesters is 8,000 euro (4,000 euro to be paid to confirm admission and balance amount to be paid upon reaching Paris)


14. Can students avail of any scholarships for MS program?

A number of scholarships are available for students desirous of pursuing the entire MS course in Paris. The details of such scholarships are posted on our website as and when they are announced OR students may visit Campus France and/or Alliance Francaise to get more details.

15. What is the eligibility for MS?

B.E. / B. TECH. in Electronics, E & TC, Instrumentation and equivalent, Final year students may also apply for MS in Electronics & Telecommunications.
B.E. / B.TECH. or equivalent in any stream, final year students may also apply for MS in Information Technology.


16. How does a student save Rs. 5 Lacs after doing ICIT course and enrolling to semester 2 of the MS programme?

Note: The currency exchange rate used here is Rs. 65 for 1 €. First Semester of MS starts in October every year while second semester starts in February every year. Hence extra expenses incurred are for 4 months.

17. Can this course be done in India?

The course is conducted in Paris in ISEP's premise only. The entire course is delivered in English.


18. How many students have gone to ISEP?

20 students have taken admission since 2009 and before January 2011.


19. Is the MS degree recognized in India and the world?

MS degree of ISEP is at par with other degrees of same duration in India and rest of the world.


20. Does ICIT help students getting education Loans?

ICIT will provide supporting documents required to procure a bank loan.
